Life Goes On

Life is like a cycle of seasons…it goes on the same way. When we wake up each morning, we expect to see the sun in the east and expect to see the moon in its place once the sun sets in the west. While some people somewhere are laughing, there are also some people somewhere that are weeping. While some are winning, still other some are losing. The face of duality is always present.

Kahlil Gibran said this about joy and sorrow:

“Some of you say, ‘Joy is greater than sorrow,’ and others say ‘Nay, sorrow is the greater.’ But I say unto you, they are inseparable. Together they come, and when one sits alone with you at your board, remember that the other is asleep upon your bed.”

In times of our happiness, therefore, we should be compassionate towards those that are not as fortunate. Because there will always come a time when we will be at the other side of the table.

Light and love everyone. I hope you enjoy the poem. Live. Laugh. Love. Be happy. Life is too short for anything else.

  1. It is as my father says. You have to face both sides of the coin. If there will be 50% smiles, there will also be 50% tears. What you’ll face in life depends on how and what you have already faced.

    1. As they say, we cannot have the rainbow without putting up with the rain. To live life is to live in duality. There is day as there is night — there is joy as there is sorrow — win some, lose some. Life is a test given to us according to what we need. A difficult card only means we have the potential to grow into better souls. Oh hey, our exchange now is a bit serious. I don’t like it hahahaha

      1. I do that to new acquaintances but if the person is an old acquaintance, I leave it to fate if he/she understands me or not 😂😂😂. And sometimes when I comment to whatever I read, a song or a movie or a book would cross my mind and I write it there along with my comment 😂. Oh well , what to do? 😛

  2. Indeed, I am ahahaha. Credit that to my dad but I am only kidding when I said indeed. A pause is needed in our chaotic, crazy life — a pause sometimes gives us a better perspective. So, when in doubt, pause. Lol! Thank you for checking out this post.
